Australian Maths Competition telah diadakan dengan lancarnya pada 27 Julai 2017. Sebanyak 36 orang murid telah mengambil bahagian dalam pertandingan ini.
Pelajar sedang berusaha dengan bersungguh-sungguh untuk menjawab soalan.

There were 16 students took part in this Sunway A-Level Maths and Logic Challenge 2017. It was held in Sunway College on 22 July 2017. One of the Top 3 Highest Team Score was won by our school.

Perjumpaan ini yang diadakan pada 22 Julai 2017, dari pukul 11:00 A.M. hingga 12:30 P.M. di Bilik 203, Blok 98. Pelajar-pelajar telah banyak mempelajari ilmu pengetahuan yang baharu tentang Olympiad Matematik dalam perjumpaan tersebut. Kelas ini telah dikendalikan oleh Pn. Teh Siew Hong. Kelas hari itu lebih menumpu kepada persediaan untuk pertandingan AMC dan ICAS serta OMK yang akan diadakan tidak lama lagi.
Puan Teh sedang mengajar di depan kelas tentang langkah menyelesaikan soalan Olympiad Matematik.
Puan Teh sedang mengajar manakala pelajar-pelajar menumpukan perhatian semasa Puan Teh sedang mengajar.
Beberapa orang pelajar duduk dalam kumpulan untuk berbincang soalan dan juga langkah yang diberikan oleh Puan Teh.
Pelajar-pelajar mempelajari langkah-langkah untuk menyelesaikan soalan dengan penuh perhatian supaya mereka dapat menjawab soalan dalam pertandingan-pertandingan yang akan datang.

Pertandingan ini telah diadakan pada 24 Julai 2017. Pelajar Oh Yong Xin telah mendapat tempat ketiga dalam Kategory Seniour dalam Pertandingan Oxbridge Genius Maths ini.

On 15 July 2017, three students from our school together with another 3 teams from Chung Ling High School, Chung Hwa Confucian High School and Convent Greenlane represented Penang State to take part in UCSI Science and Maths Challenge National Level in UCSI Campus in Kuala Lumpur. There were all together 182 teams of 546 students from 79 schools took part in the preliminary round. The top 4 teams from the 4 states, that is Penang State, Johor, Perak, Selangor/Kuala Lumpur entered semi final rounds. Our girls won in the semi final rounds and qualified themselves to the final. They emerged as the 3rd runner-up. Congratulations !

20 students from our school participated in MSU Running Maths Competition on 12 July 2017 at MSU College Penang. One of the team from our school has emerged as the Champion team in this competition. 4 students also won the gold medal award. Congratulations to all the winners !

Oxbridge Genius Maths Competition was held on 21 June 2017 from 2.00pm to 4.00 pm. 56 students from Form 3 to Form 5 took part in this competition. There are 4 preliminary round competitions running concurrently in 4 different venues and the top 30 will qualify themselves to semi final and final rounds.

MSU Running Maths School Level was held on 20 May 2017 from 7.30 am to 10.00am. 63 Form Five students have taken part in this competition. It was divided into 2 category, first category is the hot seat, or quiz on individual basis and the second category is the station challenge where the students would try to solve the challenge as a team. The 5 winning teams will represent the school for the district level competition.

Please take note that the organisor for Olimpiad Matematik Kebangsaan (OMK Competition) has change the date of competition from 29 July 2017 to 12 August 2017. Venue and actual time will be informed later. Those who can not make it on that day please find replacement and inform Pn Teh Siew Hong or Pn Tan Wey Fen or Pn Tan Soak Kin about the replacement.
